DRAGTIVITY BOOK

LEARN MORE ABOUT THE DRAGTIVITY BOOK

The Dragtivity Book is an educational tool for engaging kids in conversation about gender and identity. Kids often have questions after attending DSH events, and sometimes parents and educators don’t have all the answers. We created The Dragtivity Book in conjunction with Mor Erlich, creator of Sez Me — the acclaimed LGBTQ multidisciplinary educational program for all ages — to help kids and adults continue to explore topics of gender and identity together.

Featuring 20 pages of fun and educational activities such as “find your own drag name,” “circle your pronouns,” and “match the styling objects,” The Dragtivity Book gives kids an introduction to the art of drag to help them to unpack stereotypes and see beyond the gender binary in the world around them.

For educators: We created this lesson plan video to help educators use The Dragtivity Book as an educational tool for engaging kids in conversation about gender and identity. Contact nyc@dragqueenstoryhour.org to order multiple copies of the book for classroom use!

This book is currently being updated for Dragtivity Part II.
